What do Pod Fitness workouts look like?
Pod Fitness is a strength training studio, with a focus on functional strength movements. We utilize barbells, dumbbells, kettlebells, bands, etc and to perform exercises and lifts proven to get you stronger (compound movements such as Deadlift, Bench Press, Military Press, etc. as well as many others). Training blocks range anywhere from 4 - 12 weeks long, with the exercises switching up with each block to continue to challenge your body in new ways and build muscle.
How long are the workouts?
Each session is 30 minutes long. We work at a pace that choose exercises to make the most of your time, so you can come in, get your workout in, and get back to the rest of your day! Please come a little early to warm-up (about 5-10 minutes). You are also welcome to stay about 15 minutes later to finish the workout if you would like, totally up to you.
What level of experience is needed?
There’s no experience needed, just a readiness to learn and get strong. We recommend Pod Fitness for lifters from beginner - intermediate. Whether you’re just starting out or have been lifting for several years and looking for more accountability and strength in your lifts, this is a great spot for you!
What if I miss a session?
Think of the Pod Fitness studio as your place too. We want to be as flexible as possible when a session is missed - you can either a.) hop in an open spot in another pod, b.) come train on your own at the gym, or c.) do the workout wherever you are (if you’re traveling, use the gym there! You will have access to all the workouts as a Pod Fitness client).
How do I build a Pod?
You have a couple options! Either you can join an existing pod with an open spot, or you can get a couple friends together and form your own. You and your friends work with the trainer to get a time that works for you all. The plus of referring a couple friends - for each person you refer that joins, you get a free month of training!
What does the “personalization” look like?
While everyone in Pod Fitness will be on the same program, the coaches are helping to track each client’s weights for the focus lifts, and are able to customize the program if needed. If you’re pregnant/postpartum, deal with discomfort with specific moves, or have a slightly different goal, it’s the trainers job to get to know you and make adjustments as you both see fit!
